Langenhagen. The WAGNER Group GmbH was awarded the renowned TOP 100 seal for the second time at the festive award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit on June 27, 2025, in Mainz. The award honors companies for their exceptional innovative strength. It was presented to the WAGNER Group by Ranga Yogeshwar, scientific journalist and mentor of the competition.
The TOP 100 Award is the only independent, scientifically based award for innovation management in Germany and is being presented for the 32nd time this year. In a demanding selection process, an independent jury evaluates companies for their commitment in the areas of innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation and innovatory success. WAGNER particularly impressed the jury with its services in the areas of "Innovation-promoting top management" and "Innovative processes and organization".
"For me, innovation means always being one step ahead and proactively developing solutions that not only meet current standards, but also help to shape and develop them," explained Dipl.-Ing. Steffen Springer, Managing Director of WAGNER Group GmbH. The company received the top score of A+ in the category "Innovation-promoting top management" and also achieved an above-average rating in the area of "Innovative processes and organization", which underlines the future-oriented approach and efficiency of the company's processes.
"Our innovation strategy promotes close collaboration with partners from science and industry in order to develop solutions for the global markets of tomorrow. We focus particularly on effective project management and agile methods such as scrum and prototyping, which enable us to react flexibly to new trends such as artificial intelligence and material innovations. One example of this is the 'Frugal Innovation' project in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, in which we are continuously developing solutions that meet the requirements of global markets," adds Barbara Möller, Head of Corporate Innovation & Knowledge at WAGNER. "We are very delighted that our innovative approaches and successes have been honored with this award."
For WAGNER, the renewed award of the TOP 100 seal represents a further milestone. It proves that the company group has been able to further strengthen its innovative power and expand its position as a pioneer in the field of technical fire protection worldwide.
