Preventative fire protection—WAGNER at SICHERHEIT 2015
It was nearly 40 years ago that the SICHERHEIT was inaugurated in Zurich, as Switzerland’s first safety and security trade fair. Today, with more than 100 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors, it is the most important industry meet-up in Switzerland. The 20th SICHERHEIT trade fair, to be held November 10-13, will revolve around the topic of Fire, Safety & Security. WAGNER, the technological and market leaders in fire detection and prevention, will be contributing two of its own best-sellers.
The internationally successful OxyReduct® system features innovative VPSA technology (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption), which is so energy-efficient in generating nitrogen from the ambient air, it can provide up to 80% energy savings compared to conventional membrane technology— making it a product especially suitable for large-volume projects. The VdS (Organisation of Property Insurers)-certified inerting system protects deep-freeze storage facilities, automated high-bay warehouses, and hazardous materials storage areas from fires developing or spreading, thereby also protecting them against process downtime or loss of delivery capability.
The TITANUS® family of false alarm-proof air sampling smoke detectors provide basic preventative protection practically anywhere. The air sampling smoke detector’s detection units detect even the smallest quantities of pyrolysis particles in samples taken from the ambient air. As such, the TITANUS® is up to 2,000 times more sensitive than conventional point-type detectors, easy to reconfigure, and usable in even the most difficult environmental conditions.
This robust, modular system of smoke detectors has been developed to make it perfect for a wide variety of applications: MICRO SENS can monitor up to five small to medium-sized rooms simultaneously, with ROOM·IDENT as an optional add-on to allow precise fire localisation. PRO·SENS is perfect for difficult environmental conditions, and can monitor rooms up to 3000 m2 in size. TOP·SENS is a fully equipped air sampling smoke detection system with smoke level visualisation similar to that of PRO·SENS. Its highly sensitive detection technology makes it ideal for monitoring large rooms, such as recycling operations. For sensitive clean or heavily air-conditioned rooms, as well as computer chip production, SUPER SENS offers the best fire prevention. RACK·SENS is designed for use in EDP, server and control cabinets: an ultra-flat air sampling smoke detector with an installation height of 44.45 mm (1U) and optional integrated extinguishing. WAGNER can draw upon an extensive portfolio of products and options to meet its customers’ specific requirements in order to ensure maximum safety.
