Working for WAGNER

Over 750 WAGNER employees work day in, day out, to protect people’s working and living environments, investments, data and processes against fire risks. We do this by developing innovative fire prevention solutions that are pioneering in the safety market, such as our earliest possible fire detection and active fire prevention solutions.

During this work, we are always aware that satisfied employees are critical to our company’s success. We therefore support our new colleagues right from day one to ensure that they become part of our team and can be quickly and comprehensively integrated into the company.

What awaits you as a new-starter at WAGNER?

After a personal introduction to their new colleagues in the company, our new-starters are given an induction schedule that helps them quickly get used to their respective department. Their line manager and colleagues offer them support and help familiarise them with their new duties and our internal processes.

Welcome Day

WAGNER invites all new employees to a Welcome Day at the head office in Langenhagen. There, all employees are personally welcomed by the management team and given an overview of the Group’s various areas of activity.

A tour through the training centre, known as the WAGNER World, gives the new colleagues an up-close experience of fire prevention, while the product exhibition familiarises them with WAGNER’s range of solutions. The live fire tests are a particular highlight of the Welcome Day. These provide new-starters with a memorable experience of how active fire prevention works and how removing oxygen from the air can prevent a fire from developing and spreading. The high sensitivity of our air sampling smoke detectors is demonstrated in a pyrolysis test.

After an eventful morning with exclusive insights into WAGNER’s research and development work as well as a close look at our range of systems and company world, the new colleagues can share their impressions with one another over lunch.

Future Day at WAGNER

WAGNER regularly invites school pupils in years 5 to 10 to the annual Future Day at the company head office in Langenhagen: the young attendees are given a look behind the scenes and shown the many different careers available in our family-run company in a fun and entertaining manner.

Time and again, many young people make the most of the opportunities available, enthusiastically burning certificates during fire tests and obtaining fascinating insights into the world of technology: at stations with different focus topics, the pupils learn about aspects of compressed air technology, measurement engineering and electronics, for example.
