Collection and processing of data

Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on the website is logged. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes.

The following is logged:

  • Name of the file accessed,

The provision of your personal data is contractually required for the registration process and the subsequent use of our software products. If you do not provide this data, you will not be able to use our software products.

Furthermore, we will use the provided information to inform you about issues concerning product safety, recalls, changes to standards/legislation affecting the use of the product as well as product updates. Our advertising communications and company newsletter contain a so-called "web beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the server of the mailing service provider when the newsletter is opened. Web conferencing tools

We want to make communication with interested parties, customers, and users easier and more in line with current technical and practical realities. That's why we use conference tools for video and audio conferences. You can find out which individual web conferencing tools we use in the following section.

As a rule, data representing metadata and technical data of the users and the conferences is collected first. Metadata includes, for example, the duration of the conference, the period of participation, the number of participants, or the name and/or description of the meeting. Technical data includes IP addresses and device and hardware information of the participants, such as MAC addresses, devices and operating systems, or information about peripheral devices and connection quality. When participating optionally via a mobile phone, data other than the phone number and connection data may also be stored. In addition, the data collected includes all data that you provide for the use of the service (some of which is optional). Typical data here includes your name, phone number, email address, and other log and profile data.

During a meeting in a web conferencing tool, video and audio data recorded by your microphone/camera, as well as all content that can be uploaded (messages in chats, surveys, etc., as well as other files such as presentation documents) may be processed, logged, or displayed. If you choose to use the recording function of web conferences, this data may be stored permanently, including on the service provider's servers.

However, we would like to point out that we have no influence over which data is collected. Accordingly, failure to provide the aforementioned data may mean that you will not be able to participate in the web conference. No automated decision-making takes place. We use web conferencing tools to communicate with you in a simple, effective, and direct manner. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We use the web conferencing tool Microsoft Teams. This is an application from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland; hereinafter: "Microsoft").

The personal data you provide will be collected and processed  exclusively for the purpose of conducting external and internal video conferences within the framework of a contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. 

If no contractual relationship exists, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our interest here is in effective communication and exchange between the parties involved.
