  • Provider of fire protection solutions on growth course in South Asia
  • New subsidiary WAGNER Fire Safety India Private Limited starts business activities
  • Presents at the trade fair Fire India 2023 in October

Langenhagen. WAGNER Group GmbH is expanding its business in the Asian region: Effective June 1, 2023, the new subsidiary WAGNER Fire Safety India Private Limited will start its operational business. The Group is thus underlining its consistent path of internationalization and positioning on the global market for fire protection solutions.

"With the expansion into India, we are continuing to implement our WAGNER.2026 strategy and, in addition to our solid market position within Europe and our North American business, are expanding the Europe - Southeast Asia axis at the same time," says Steffen Springer, Managing Director of the WAGNER Group GmbH. "In this context, India is a strategically important market in which we see great growth potential." WAGNER has already successfully entered the Indian market through its subsidiary WAGNER Rail GmbH, based in Haar/Munich (Germany), which sells fire protection solutions for rail vehicles.

The business area of the newly founded company lies in particular in the segments of logistics with a focus on deep-freeze storage and in the areas of pharma, data centers and textile production. The Executive Board of WAGNER India is formed by Torsten Wagner and Steffen Springer - both Managing Directors of WAGNER Group GmbH - and Sandeep Hajra, who has a direct local connection to the customers and the market needs. The executive with many years of management experience in various global corporations will establish and expand the business with holistic fire protection solutions in his home market. "I am honored that the WAGNER Group GmbH has entrusted me with this important task. I look forward to developing and establishing WAGNER India in the regional market. Fire protection is an important issue in our core market segments: economically and ecologically as well as in terms of public safety. I see great market potential in India and neighboring countries for the better solution in fire protection,” explains Hajra.

Like all companies in the WAGNER Group, WAGNER India offers holistic fire protection solutions which are specially tailored to individual customer needs. The TITANUS® aspirating smoke detectors for early fire detection and the preventive oxygen reduction system OxyReduct® will be presented to the specialist audience in October at Asia's largest trade fair for fire and safety, Fire India 2023, in hall 4 at booth E23.
