50 years of WAGNER: “On Fire” for customers, innovation, and the future

In his speech, Dipl.-Ing. Werner Wagner (founder and managing director) emphasized what continues to define the company’s success today: a consistent focus on customer needs. Since the company’s founding, the goal has always been to develop the right – and therefore better – solution for each customer’s specific needs – a principle that will continue to guide WAGNER in the future. At the same time, Werner Wagner made it clear that the company is strategically well-positioned: Consistent internationalization and entrepreneurial independence form the foundation for continuing to operate successfully as an independent family-owned business. 

One of the most moving moments of the evening was the emotional speech given by company founder Werner Wagner. “Looking out at this gathering really touches me,” he said, addressing the numerous guests. He thanked his wife, his family, and his long-time companions for their trust and support, even during difficult times. He also extended heartfelt thanks to employees and partners who have supported him along the way and remained loyal to the consistently growing company with great dedication over many years. He expressed confidence in the future and emphasized that the further development of WAGNER technologies, digital solutions, the internationalization strategy, and the clear positioning as a family-owned business will contribute to the company’s continued growth. With this, Werner Wagner sent a clear signal of continuity and further development. 

External voices also emphasized the company’s importance: Dr. Volker Schmidt, CEO of Niedersachsen Metall, highlighted how crucial medium-sized businesses in particular are to the region’s economic strength – and that WAGNER plays a vital role in job creation and the development of the Hannover region as a business hub. 

However, the anniversary was not merely a look back, but above all a starting point for the company’s further strategic development. As relevant application areas continue to grow dynamically, the demands on fire protection are also rising steadily. WAGNER is driving the development of trendsetting fire protection systems to continue offering customers worldwide better solutions in fire protection – and thus holistic safety for people, values, and processes.
