Change of management at WAGNER Rail

28-03-2024
  • Markus Kock to focus on the strategic development of WAGNER’s core market Germany from April 2024
  • Will hand over his additional management position at WAGNER Rail to Bernhard Weindl
  • Company founder Werner Wagner expresses thanks

Langenhagen. Dipl.-Ing. Markus Kock, long-standing Managing Director of both WAGNER Rail GmbH and WAGNER Deutschland GmbH, will hand over his position at WAGNER Rail to Bernhard Weindl at the start of the new business year on April 1. Bernhard Weindl already joined the management of WAGNER Rail from Knorr-Bremse SfS GmbH in October 2023. Markus Kock is now officially handing over the position to Bernhard Weindl. Following his departure from the management of WAGNER Rail, Markus Kock will dedicate his full commitment to the strategic development of the largest WAGNER subsidiary, WAGNER Deutschland GmbH, of which he has been Managing Director since its foundation in 2020.

Dipl.-Ing. Werner Wagner, company founder and shareholder of fire protection company WAGNER, thanks Markus Kock for his many years of successful service at WAGNER Rail: "Mr. Kock has been Managing Director of WAGNER Rail since it was founded in 2016 and, together with his management colleagues Dr. Peter Stahl and Dr. Markus Müller, has done an outstanding job in the market segment of fire protection for rail vehicles, which is of such importance to us. For our subsidiary, the 2023/24 financial year is by far the most successful in its history. We are very proud of this development. Over the past few years, Mr. Kock has mastered many challenges, shuttled between the companies at various locations and ultimately played a major role in ensuring that WAGNER Rail is excellently positioned for the future. I would like to thank him sincerely for his valuable commitment in this area. We also remain very successful in our core market Germany. I am therefore delighted that Mr. Kock can now devote his full attention to the further development of the German market. I wish him - and his successor Mr. Weindl at WAGNER Rail - continued success and enthusiasm for the important cross-industry topic of fire protection."
